The U.S. expects its operation against Iran to conclude within ⁠weeks, ⁠not months, and Washington can meet all its objectives without using ground ⁠troops, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Friday.

Iranian leaders have rejected a ceasefire proposal put forth by the Trump administration. Instead, Iran issued its own counter-proposal, and sources told CNN that Iranians would rather negotiate with Vice President JD Vance.
