Utah 2034 Olympics and Paralympics organizers presented a glowing update to members of the International Olympic Committee on Tuesday. That was in stark contrast to some of the other future hosts.

Utah skier and two-time Olympian Breezy Johnson claimed Team USA’s first medal of the 2026 Olympics. It was also her first-ever medal at the Games.

When Utah hosts the 2034 Winter Games, athletes’ families will be front and center, thanks to an initiative to assist them with housing, transportation and other needs that came from Olympic champion alpine skier Lindsey Vonn, a key figure in the Games’ bid and organization.
